Vaguely evoking images of Nick Cave boning both Serge Gainsborough and Jane Birkin on a hazy Parisian afternoon, Ma Cherie is the debut single from brainy burlesquer Lola The Vamp and is officially released this month.

The last time we spoke to her, the Australian performer gave us the lowdown on how she gained her doctorate in burlesque. Earlier this week, she hammered on our inbox with news of her latest venture and shoved this sexy slice of antipodean amour under our nose.

The expressive male vocals on the song are care of Robert Davis while Brisbane band, Desert Blues Cartel provide the backing. The song is available for a short time as a free download at www.desertbluescartel.com and you can see Lola sing and dance at the official single launch from 6.30pm Friday May 16th 2014, at the first of the Cardigan Bar Town Hall Sessions, Sandgate Town Hall, Queensland, Australia.
