What do you get when a born freak, a former beauty queen and an award-winning maverick director tell the true story of Beauty and the Beast?

A power pairing guaranteed to raise eyebrows and temperatures hits the Arts Depot this weekend. Mat Fraser has more strings to his bow than Robin Hood and all the merry men. The host, actor, cabaret performer, musician and Coldplay cohort is a rare treat in London these days.

His American wife and co-star Julie Atlas Muz is not there just for her good looks: as a past winner of Miss Exotic World (recently re-titled Reigning Queen of Burlesque), she is sheer electricity on any stage either side of the Atlantic.

Together with Phelim McDermott (Artistic Director of Improbable), they have conspired to make an adult fairytale like no other. Beauty And The Beast is a magical, sexual journey into real and fabled romance between beastly and beautiful characters, where roles are shared as love is declared. This multi-layered story will re-kindle your lust for life, and make you think about who loves who, and why.

This fantastic alternative to traditional Halloween fare will be at the artsdepot this Friday and Saturday night. The show is strictly 16+ and contains both beautiful and beastly nudity as well as some strong language.
