Clear your diary: October is going to be a very busy month. As well as everyone and their canine friend getting ready for Halloween, there will be more cabaret fun and frolics than you can shake a very large stick at. The inaugural London Cabaret Festival kicked off with a fundraiser but next month steps up with a roster of events longer than an iPhone queue.
In contrast to all other cabaret festivals this year, this one has been put together by performers and producers. Their agenda is to be as inclusive as possible and the sheer range of shows it showcases is a testament to the depth and breadth of talent right here in the global cabaret capital.
Whatever your poison – be it burlesque, circus, musical comedy or fancy dress parties – there is something for everyone with a pulse and a desire to switch off the television and do something more interesting instead.
