More Jubilee-inspired frolic happened last Friday with Rumpus Vol. 10: A Very Royal Jubilee. Nicknamed “the way parties should Be,” this celebration of The United Kingdom of Great Adventures and Magical Menageries was hosted at the Metal Works in Angel. An indoors mini-festival in the vicinity of cool East London, the event consists of a non-stop six-stage all-nighter.

The wide variety of performances ranges from DJs, aerialists and mimes to live music, including accordeons, kazoos and air guitar. Yes, air guitar. Rumpus has something in it for everyone, and it is impossible to keep track of everything that’s going on.

Audience participation is an integral part of the the night. If you don’t come dressed up and made up, you’ll have a chance to do it on the spot if you want, before you get a chance to exhibit your talents or pick up new ones from a juggler or a hula-hooper.
