Tomorrow night sees the launch of a burlesque show which promises to take the audience to a new level. To be precise, four new levels…
The brainchild of the performing trio of Betsy Rose, Missy Fatale and Jolie Papillon, Gin House Burlesque sees an East End joint transformed into the kind of salacious speakeasy that London really could do with more of. See the images below to see what we mean.
When arriving, don’t be put off by the building’s dark and dilapidated exterior. Those who step inside will see a panoply of entertainment spread out over four floors each packed with beautiful ladies, debauchery and gin soaked glamour.
To kick things off, a gin cocktail happy hour will begin at 7.30pm on the ground floor and the entertainment will commence at 8.30pm in the main bar. The Gin House revue takes place in two different sittings; guests will be split into two teams and given a slip containing a secret password allowing them access to their particular session. This weeekend’s show will see the trio joined by the vaudeville legend that is Abi Collins, the Bohemianuts’ accordion maestro Tom Baker performing with Alix Ross, and master of ceremonies Mister Meredith.
The grand finale takes place on the ground floor where a 1930s-themed afterparty makes sure the revelry continues until 5.30am.
Ticket information for the Gin House Burlesque can be found on their official website.
