Every now and again, a special once-in-a-lifetime show rolls around. This may well be one of them.

Le Gateau Chocolat will be appearing alongside Miss Rose Wood, Bourgeois & Maurice and Jonny Woo.

Vogue Fabrics return to the ICA next month with a gender-bending show of epic proportions covering music, film and performance art.

Award-winning, album-releasing neo-cabaret darlings Bourgeois & Maurice and the globe-trotting lycra-rocking operatic diva Le Gateau Chocolat may sing from different hymnsheets but they are both examples of the quality of musical talent within the current cabaret scene. Veteran alt-drag performer Jonny Woo will be presenting an interactive film alongside turns from queen of sploshing Lucy Fizz and ex-truck driver tranny pensioner Jeannie Dee on the ones and twos.

The cherry on this particularly rich cake is the very rare chance to see New York’s Miss Rose Wood perform outside exclusive venue The Box. Renowned for her theatrical approach to cabaret, she creates highly memorable personas and scenarios which go from the intensely erotic to the vomit-inducing (we exaggerate not).

Speaking exclusively to us, she intimated that she has something special lined up for the ICA crowd. Compared to her infamous bottle-abusing character, Wood said “it makes her look like a soccer mom.” Gulp.
