If theatre,musical and burlesque met one night on Shaftesbury Avenue, hit it off after a few cocktails and went back for a stylish threesome, we reckon the beautiful progeny would look something like Burlexe.

Next week, Burlexe begins its new season and This Is Cabaret has two tickets to see this glamorous show which celebrates the women who created and perform burlesque.
Those looking to take baby steps into the modern burlesque scene or are entirely jaded by it should check out this novel format which blends well-crafted storytelling with tease of the highest order. Earlier this month, We were lucky enough to be allowed a cheeky peek backstage as Rubyyy Jones and co rehearsed for this latest run.
A clip from last year’s Burlexe gives a flavour of the proceedings and proves that, even under a comedy ‘tache, Kiki Kaboom is still gorgeous.
