It’s been one hell of a year for EastEnd Cabaret. After celebrating their third birthday last December, Victor/Victoria and Bernadette Byrne headed Down Under, sending us a video postcard when they weren’t entertaining folk at the Adelaide and Perth Cabaret Festivals.

They had barely touched down in Blighty before landing their next bombshell, announcing that they would be ditching many fan favourites after their upcoming run at the Soho Theatre. Moving on from the red light district, they spent the summer on the South Bank freaking out late night audiences and putting on their new ambitious avant-garde show Silencio.

So what next for these two? Funny you should ask. Three special shows at Hackney Downs’ The Russett will see them perform an hour-long set alongside local talent and big name stars from the London cabaret scene.

We have two tickets to give away for the first show on 9 November when EastEnd Cabaret will be joined by hot-damn hoofer Josephine Shaker, traditional ladies with attitude The Original Street Dancers and the male 50% of Frisky & Mannish hay-kay-hay singer, writer and video director Mannish. And that’s not all. There are speakeasy melodies from house band Minnie’s Henhouse, hooping from BB Hoops and kooky clowning from Zuma Puma.
